Spring Announcements

Bama Houston wants to support our local UA family during these challenging times. Read how we're supporting our community and upcoming events

President’s Message

Bama Houston wants to support our local UA family during these challenging times. That’s why we’ve provided a way to highlight small businesses owned by alumni on our private Houston Bama Nation Facebook Group.  Additionally, we will provide a job board in that group that will allow you to submit jobs for periodic posting. We are #StillTideTogether so please join us in supporting the needs of fellow Houston-area Alabama alumni and fans.

If you are not yet a member of the Houston Bama Nation Facebook Group, you may request to join. Please remember to answer the three questions and agree to the group rules.

Also, if you are a recruiter or hiring manager, please email us at bama.in.houston@gmail.com so we can share resources with the job seekers among our members.

Our chapter leaders continue to plan for upcoming events, realizing we may need to make them virtual. These events are listed below. Please mark your calendar and volunteer to make these events, and our chapter, strong.

Roll Tide!

Covid-19 Updates from UA

UA is inviting spring 2020 graduates to participate in commencement exercises this summer. Bama Bound orientation, as well as interim and summer courses, will be offered online only. Details regarding Covid-19 are at https://healthinfo.ua.edu/

Houndstooth flags, rather than the customary yard signs, are being mailed to Houston-area students who are Bama-bound this fall. Plans are still on hold for a Student Sendoff for our Houston-area students.

High school students interested in UA are encouraged to register for virtual tours. And if you are a member of the National Alumni Association, you may recommend a student for a personalized Discovering Bama tour!
